OUR NEWEST POP STORE AND MORE
Back on May 10th we opened the newest addition to Pop Stores, a festival boutique called Marsh Mellow (see what we did there?). It will be a one-stop shop for festival goers, providing everything from the largest selection of Hunter wellies in England to festival tickets and colourful "glamping" essentials. Come check it out at Whiteleys now.
Here's one of our friendly staff members demonstrating one of the full-body Music sleeping bags we sell in front of the shop window.
In the wider world of Pop Up's, Gucci recently opened an equally cleverly titled Icon-Temporary boutique in Covent Garden which is all about sneakers. Sneakers designed by Mark Ronson, to be specific. Our friends went along to the opening night party and there were celebs and champagne galore - Mark's shoes were pretty neat too, albeit with hefty price tags (£395 runners, anyone?).
WHITELEYS OPENING PARTY 25TH MARCH 2010
So we had a bit of a bash for the opening of the stores in Whiteleys last week. With a red carpet, free booze and a good smattering of celebs a great night was had by all. Check out the photos below.

Kelly Osborne was looking hot to trot in killer heels and sporting a fab new hair do. Notice the guy in the background sporting a Christopher Lee Sauve tee too, rock on!

Nick Grimshaw was spotted before a night at Radio1 in the Frost French store. He was happy to be there i promise!!

The Frost French ladies looked absolutely smouldering outside Pop Store. We love Jemima's dress here.

This was Alice Delal's band Queens of Noise!!! They played a set in a decidedly weird get up and obviously we aren't sure who is who!! The girl swearing has really manly hands though.

Jameela Jamil from T4 got our vote for the outfit of the night, she looked amazing in her polka shirt and shorts, with a vintage leather bag.
POPSTORE APPEARS ON BBC RADIO 5 LIVE!
POP
STORE, the brand new transient retail concept that is bringing in a host of
super-cool designer fashion brands to selected locations across the UK is
growing in stature and last week featured on BBC RADIO FIVE LIVE.
POP
STORE co- founder Brian MacShane joined hosts Dominic Laurie and Mickey Clark
in a discussion on their Wake Up To Money programme in light of the recent
Government initiative to invest £3 million in 57 Local Authorities to develop
their retail areas.
Also
joining the discussion was Stephen Robinson, The Director General of the
British Retail Consortium who when questioned by Dominic about the POP STORE
concept said, “I’m impressed with what Brian’s doing and its typical of
entrepreneurs in small retailers, that bright new ideas come up.”
POP
STORE is unique in its celebration of the temporary by breaking with
traditional retail convention and offering a new style of exclusivity; a one
time, limited opportunity to buy exciting brands and indulge in a totally
different retail experience.
After
an amazingly successful launch in June at North London’s Brent Cross shopping
centre, POP STORE has already lined up shopping centres like Kingston,
Bluewater, Bristol and Birmingham’s Bull Ring as the brand is rolled out across
the UK.
